FEATURED ANIMALS: MOLLY
Hello, I am a temporary foster parent for a Saint Bernard at the
Collinsville Illinois animal Control. I need to find her a new rescue as
she is running out of time here and will have to go back to animal
control where she is scheduled to be put down.
Molly is older (8 years
old) but she has special circumstances that I think buys her another
chance at finding a home. In 2008 a flood ravaged her Eureka Missouri
farm, water rushed in fast. She and several other animals were loaded
onto a horse trailer to be pulled out of the rising water, the truck
stalled, the water rose and many of the animals died - but not Molly.
Then Molly found her way to a small apartment in Collinsville Illinois
where she was living in her own filth with far too many animals in the
tiny apartment. Back then I was the humane investigator who got Molly
and several others out. Molly was adopted to a young vet tech who
promised her devotion to Molly - well that lasted just days short of a
year. I am retired now due to my health but the new man down at the
Animal Control called me when Molly came back. He liked Molly but feels
she is really too old for adoption, he wanted to give her to me.
I wish
I could but my health is such that that will not be possible for very
long. I however agreed to keep her for 2 weeks so I could promote her a
little better than the Animal Control has time for. The link below goes

Molly is 8yo spayed female around 115pounds who is UTD on her Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. She is heartworm negative and on preventative. Molly is housebroken. Very good with other dogs and cats. Wonderful and loving with children, she does not know a stranger. Her hips seem fine, she still runs, bounds, jumps and has a spring in her step.
